WHY
CHANGE YOUR IP ADDRESS WITHOUT SOFTWARE?
Our
browser plugins make changing your IP address extremely
convenient. However, some people don't like to install
any software that they don't have to. And others use
antivirus programs that prevent any software from interacting
with their browser. So here is a way to manually use
our service without software:
IF YOU USE INTERNET EXPLORER :
1.
Select the IE dropdown menu for Tools -> Internet
Options -> Connections
2. If you are using Cable/DSL: click on "LAN Settings".
If you are using dialup, select your
connection and then click "Settings".
3. Check the box that says "Use a proxy server..."
4. For "Address", enter the "Server
IP" of the location that you want your IP address
to appear in.
5. For "Port", enter port from page in last
step (usually 8128).
6. Check the box that says "Bypass proxy server
for local addresses".
7. Click OK
8. Clear your browser cookies!
9. Try surfing... Check your IP online.
To
get your regular Internet connection (IP) back: simply
repeat step 1-3, but UNheck the box that says "Use
a proxy server for your LAN". And then clear
your browser cookies again!
IF
YOU USE MOZILLA FIREFOX:
1.
Select the Firefox dropdown menu for Tools -> Options
-> Advanced -> Network -> Connection ->
Settings
2. Check the box that says "Manual proxy configuration"
3. For "Address", enter the "Server
IP" of the location that you want your IP address
to appear in.
4. For "Port", enter port from page in last
step (usually 8128).
5. Check the box that says "Use this proxy server
for all protocols"
6. In the box that says "No proxy for", enter
"localhost, 127.0.0.1" (without the quotes)
7. Click OK
8. Clear your browser cookies!
9. Try surfing... Check your IP online.
To
get your regular Internet connection (IP) back: simply
repeat step 1-2, but in step 2 you'll check the box
that says "Direct connection to the Internet".
Then clear your browser cookies!
CLEAR YOUR BROWSER COOKIES:
Websites
can easily track your activities using cookies, even
when you change your IP address. Therefore, everytime
you activate or deactivate a connection to our servers,
you should also clear your browser cookies.
To
clear your cookies in Internet Explorer:
Use the Internet Explorer dropdown menu for "Tools
-> Internet Options -> General -> Browsing
history -> Check "Cookies" -> Delete.
Then RESTART Internet Explorer.
To
clear your cookies in Firefox:
Use the Firefox dropdown menu for "Tools ->
Clear Private Data -> Check "Cookies" ->
Clear Private Data Now. There is no need to restart
Firefox.
